Resolutions and endorsements The following bodies, among others, have passed resolutions or made endorsements in favor of a national single-payer bill.

  • US Conference of Mayors
  • On May 31, 2009, in the 96th Illinois General Assembly, the Illinois House adopted HR0233, sponsored by Representative Mary Flowers, urging Congress to enact HR 676. Full text here
  • On September 11, 2017, the Thomson IL Village Board adopted a resolution in support of HR 676. 
  • In the Nov. 6, 2018 General Gubernatorial Election, Berwyn Township approved the following referendum (search for Berwyn, scroll to bottom) 84.29% to 15.71% (article here): "Shall our elected officials take steps to institute a national improved medicare for all health care system, which would be publicly financed but privately delivered; one that covers everyone in the U.S., with comprehensive, high quality care, including free choice of providers and no health care bills?"
  • On June 27, 2019, the Cook County Board of Commissioners passed Resolution 19-3838 in support of HR 1384. Article here and Board meeting details here
